The sculpture has been crafted from reclaimed wood by local artist Mariane Ladegaard Jensen, highlighting how creativity and sustainability can go hand in hand.
The starling and its chick are located in Madsbyparken, one of Fredericia's key habitats for starlings.
The large birdhouse beneath the sculpture contains numerous nesting boxes, making the artwork more than just a beautiful landmark. It also provides safe nesting places for the area's starling population.
